Quid pro quo. It's possible Goodell will act more favorably to us now that we made peace, but at the same time we are getting cozy with Grude who is public enemy #1, so I am not sure how all that will play out. Lets hope we get more favorable treatment on suspensions and scheduling going forward.

Besides Goodell though, there are also the refs. To some degree I think the refs take subtle queues from Goodell if they want promotions to head of officiating etc, but at the same time I think the refs have their own grudges. Unfortunately, making a deal with Goodell on Thursday Night flex is unlikely to totally solve the refs grudes against us for not respecting their authority in 2018 and booing them a lot since then.
I wouldn't want our team to get cozy with Goodell, but he has power and I'd prefer to stay off his ****list. It's a shame that such a horrible person has been given power to the extent that our franchise has to walk a line with him. I say walk the line but always remember he's a douche and if he crosses the line stand our ground. Mrs. Gayle seems to be handling Goodell quite well imo.

I'm thinking Goodell the 3 game suspension might in part be a middle finger to Payton. You know Payton is thinking if he were here it would have been longer.
It's going to be interesting to see if all that “Goodell hate” follows him to Denver.

Edit
I'm sure Guido is scripting some contrary post as I write this edit but it does make you think

All valid points. We should quietly monitor if this comes to fruition. We're all going to keep an eye on what SP does and how he's treated as he now coaches in the mile high city.

Oh, he's so screwed! Godhell hates Payton, the non conformist, who refuses to kneel before him or kiss the ring. Gayle seems to be walking the fine line between calling him out, after baselessly fining Cam and the Saints for faking an injury, and voting for Thursday night games or whatever the shields agenda is at the moment(depending on law suits).

The past is history now. The big question is do we learn from our past mistakes? I know he let a lot of people down and it looks like he has a new focus now. He has been through the legal process and the court of public opinion still wants him to pay more. I don't get it. I've done well with second chances....mostly.

The vast majority of rational people have accepted his lesson learned. A tiny minority seem to have a grip on hate that they cannot let go. That's their problem.

I think Some people see violence as a line that, once crossed, cannot be uncrossed Rugby. To them, it’s like rape or child molestation. There is a trust that is lost when one makes the decision to sexual assault a person, or abuse a child, or send a person to the hospital through a physical beating. They don’t see it as a mistake. To those people, Shoplifting or speeding are mistakes that can be forgiven. Violence is another matter. It’s an indication of a person’s deep character. A sign of what they are capable of when put in a certain situation.

You can forgive your dog for peeing on the floor or chewing your shoes or breaking into the food. You don’t forgive your dog when it injures you or a family member in an attack and sends them to the hospital. You put the dog down and get a new one.

At least that’s the way others have explained it to me; including people who have been victims of sexual or physical attack. It’s not the person the hate…it’s the act and personal violation they’ve experienced that they have to deal with for the rest of their lives that they hate.

You think you know, but you don’t know...and you never will! Coach Jim Mora

Hate has NOTHING to do with this... All about reality and personal responsibility. I am quite sure you would not mind the thug Kamara beatin you upside your melon... LMAO

The NFL should implement a NO Tolerance clause when violence is brought upon a bystander by ANY NFL player. One and done.

Furthermore... the thug Kamara was not a misguided rookie, but a highly paid supposedly proffessional player in the NFL.

so now... an NFL football player, wanting a 2 or 3 game rest, can go beat on people and NOT lose their job.

What transpired on that Las Vegas night was an embarrassment to the team, the league, the city, and AK's family. Luckily that guy didn't die (was beaten unconscious).

AK isn't 18 or 19 years of age.

Find new friends.

Kristian Garic ....

First time I've heard his name all summer. Must be spending more time with Deeke Belluvia these days.
