He was flagged multiple times on those rubs that Tre'Quan gets away with unnoticed. He also dropped more than one easy one that Tre'Quan usually hauls in. Perry is a lock. If we keep six then Davis may round it out.

Apparently, I was too optimistic about how Edwards would have a come back season. At this point 3Q may be a better option. Ugh!

The penalties can finish a season quicker than injuries.

https://www.espn.com/nfl/story/_/id/...ule-highlights

Now this could be true, but didn’t the Saints D force turnovers, punts, Sacks, and 4th down stops? Didn’t they win the game? It’s just noteworthy that they write positive things about the team that lost while writing neagtively about the winners.

Why would anyone have any faith in the Saints positive moments? They are a bunch of bounty hunting cheaters with a crappy QB. :brood:

Final recap on the Bolts/Saints game:

Bresee has made plays & "flashed" in games.
Foskey badly needs more reps & needs to develop more moves (that was his knock by a lot of scouts).
AT Perry did the most with his reps & likely secured a roster spot.
Haener looks confident, poised and in control under center. No way he's cut.
Payton Turner has performed well & the pressure is there. Not sure what the hell Jeff Duncan is watching at practice.
Penning aka Junk Yard Dawg has to improve with his technique. You can't "whiff" against legit DE's in the league. That will get your QB seriously injured.

Collectively, the Saints need to correct the mental (penalties) errors. It will cost you on Sundays.

I watched the first half.

D line looked pretty sharp. Eased some earlier concerns. Hope they continue to gel.
I hope a valuable O lineman presents himself on the waiver wire.
Jaylon Smith passed Zach Baun on the depth chart having been with the team a whopping seven days...
Jameis is there to coach up the second string. He holds the ball too long and throws into impossible windows.
Penning needs to show more and I hope he plays at least another half game next week.
We may have a better WR room than I gave credit for after all...

Heard Haener settled in and played well.

Maybe I have missed some info, or insight from others, but what are the chances for the Merriweather kid at RB? I think he’s looked pretty decent so far, has a pretty crowded position group, but maybe as a special teaser or practice squad body.

This may not be Saints related but it sure is cringeworthy that the Jets fans think they are going to win the Super Bowl. Watching Greeny basically drool over Aaron Rodgers on ESPN is so bad. Let's all make a vow that we never become that obnoxious. Also, Carr will be better than Rodgers(made it Saints related).

Agree that Carr will out perform Rodgers.

I love watching Greenie get his hopes up every year. It's just like the Cowboys rub from Stephen A.

The J E T S are our farm team! :bng:

I can definitely see how they think that since two of the last three Superbowls were Brady joining the Bucs and winning it all his first year and Stafford joining the Rams and winning it all his first year. This seems like a similar situation except Rodgers has less than 6 and more and than 0 previous rings. I don't think the Jets are on the level of the Chiefs, Bills, and Bengals but I can see how they are close and I wouldn't rule it out. They could be on the level of the NFC elites like Philly and SF but they don't have the easier playoff path of the NFC. Someone has to win it all and I could see ranking them something like 7th on the probability list. If Saleh can bring a 49ers caliber defense, Sauce continues to be a shut down corner, and Rodgers imports the Green Bay offense you can't rule it out. Their oline leaves some doubts though.

Aaron Rodgers throws the ball out of bounds with the best of them.
