Re: Practice Squad Moves
Our backup linemen aren't vey good and the depth really is disconcerting. Peat is a backup now but if he gets hurt.... I like Saldiveri but I'm not betting on him just yet. I know the NFL doesn't necessarily allow for good depth but the better teams seem to find it. Why can't we? Oh yeah, bad drafting in the first round reaching for developmental players. Yes, that was under Payton and DA hasn't missed yet. Penning was still a project but has come along nicely considering he's basically still a rookie.

I think we are in better shape to handle those things this year than we were last year.

Sure, we can swap out one or two of our deep backups, but there's no guarantee they would even be as good once you put them on the field. At this point is it worth getting rid of players that have been worked with and developed through the full camp just to throw someone else up against a wall just to see if they stick any better? |

That still leaves two open spots, though.

Re: Practice Squad Moves
I hadn't noticed we had already added OT Storm Norton to the practice squad. That's what brought us to 12 offensive linemen.
