Or how about people make different threads whenever news comes out worth discussing. I can’t stay on and off all day like I used to and having to sift through generic threads to find info I’m looking for sucks and takes some of the joy out of the board. Not everyone can follow along with what is essentially 20 pages of dialogue unless they are in it from early on. I imagine this would be especially unappealing to perspective new members who may be willing to become paying contributors.

We used to do that and were getting 40-50 posts per week with two and three paragraph "articles". I remember a discussion about just having some generic threads for those type of random articles. Those of us that routinely share the news do start a new thread specific to the article when it is an article of substance.

It would be nice to have a few more threads so that I don't feel like I'm regurgitating the same thing on the same thread. I want to regurgitate the same things again and again but on different threads.
