Week 2 - Saints @ Panthers
Panthers don't scare me one bit. |
Re: Week 2 - Saints @ Panthers
We still don't have Kamara and Miller, and Penning will likely play.
Count my ass as worried. |
Re: Week 2 - Saints @ Panthers
The Panthers are expecting to be without CB Jaycee Horn for several weeks.
Good player but can't stay healthy. Don't know who the backup is but I hope we target them all game. |

Re: Week 2 - Saints @ Panthers
Dang it, a thought just hit me! I watched the first game at a bar and we won. I d rather stay home and watch Monday night’s game at home than go back to the bar! If we lose it will be my fault.

Turnovers ultimately did them in. An away game vs a divisional opponent ... will be tough. |
Re: Week 2 - Saints @ Panthers
I said this before the Titan’s game; “This is gonna be a really tough game. We have no Kamara. The Titans are a rough, physical team.”
So, replace Titans with Panther and add that we are on the road. Panthers will be a wounded team licking their wounds for a nationally televised home game. They swept us last year. We ran the ball for squat last game (Despite Guido pointing out that we had RBs other than Kamara and Miller). Gotta treat this game like we are the underdog team. |

Re: Week 2 - Saints @ Panthers
That rookie QB ain't never seent a pass rush like he's fixing to feel, especially with Latt and Adebo locking down the WRs. Penning will progress much faster than we realize. He just needs the reps.

Re: Week 2 - Saints @ Panthers
On paper, we should demolish them and that's what I'm afraid of. Public money will likely pour onto the Saints as well. I'm just hoping we can pull out a win on the road. I don't really care if it's pretty or not.

Re: Week 2 - Saints @ Panthers
Monday night will help the team get up. I expect some big plays from the offense. Saints roll.

Championship … I know I know Rose colored glasses with glass 15/16 full fan since 1967. It’s always a choice.

Re: Week 2 - Saints @ Panthers
Before anyone comes up with the same lame take of how the Saints ALWAYS struggle against rookie QB's in reference to Bryce Young, check out this article.
From the link above: Per Statmuse researching, the Saints went 2-1 against rookie quarterbacks last season (falling 20-10 to Kenny Pickett’s Pittsburgh Steelers). They’re 15-6 against those first-year passers since 2017, when cornerstone defenders like Marshon Lattimore arrived joined the team. Take it back to Sean Payton’s first year on the job in 2006 and you’ll find that the Saints are 39-19 against rookie quarterbacks. How’s that for a busted narrative? |

I was just thinking how I had to put on all the same clothes I wore last Sunday for Monday’s game. |
Re: Week 2 - Saints @ Panthers
This game is shaping up like Sep 19th, 2021 Week 2 of the NFL season. A game in Bank of America stadium. The Saints were feeling real good about themselves after a 38-3 drubbing of the mighty Packers to start the season. They then proceeded to let Sam Darnold have perhaps the best game of his career with a 300 yard, 2TD, 99+ rating day while drubbing the Saints by three scores. But hey, keep those memes coming. Nothing like disrespecting and taking your upcoming opponent for granted to prepare a team for a game. Worked great for Buffalo Monday night.

That doesn't seem to shape up anywhere close to where we stand right now, does it? :bng: We gonna kick their asses! |
Re: Week 2 - Saints @ Panthers
When it comes to Carolina it's best to completely forget what you think you know because the complete opposite is highly likely to happen.
|
Re: Week 2 - Saints @ Panthers
By the way, no amount of respect or disrespect by us fans of our team's upcoming opponent has any bearing whatsoever on the outcome of the game anymore than what pairs of socks or underwear we decide to wear that morning.

I don't think that the Saints will be taking the Panties lightly. In fact, I anticipate a hard fought game. Hopefully, with no injuries.....and we should be 2-0 Tuesday morning.

Re: Week 2 - Saints @ Panthers
I'm definitely not going to miss facing Horn. Or for that matter, DJ Moore, who the Panthers traded as part of the package to get that first pick.
