Jaire Alexander is more like if we were missing Lattimore, an elite pro bowl type corner, no Adebo a marginal starting corner. Baktari or whetever his name is a big name Tackle, more equivalent to if we were missing Ramcyzk. Watson is the Packers best receiver. More like if we were missing Olave though Olave is a little better. I dont know that we will play a team with as many injuries as the Packers had today for the rest of the year. This was a chance. Allen blew it. The Packers were 9-8 last year. Love is looking better than expected but in the past he looked like a bust who never impressed in limited time. So you take a 9-8 team, knock out 5 key starters, and downgrade their QB from a hall of famer to a unproven late first rounder who has looked like a bust in the past, and we can’t beat them. Yeah our QB went down for 1.5 quarters but thats bc he likes to hold the ball and our oline doesnt like to block, and we are supposed to have one of the best backups. But we lose. Typical Dennis Allen. Not a head coach this side of the Canada border. |

Re: Saints @ Packers Game Day Thread
That first down taysom playcalled killed it us fourth wasn't he time for that. Almost look like they were trying to run out the clock instead of moving the ball. This definitely on DA and Pete. The defense held for as long as a defense could. We gotta see what happens. Oline is the biggest problem hands down

And if Yidiam needed more help, thats something the announcers need to tell Allen and he needs some time to receive the message. What is a head coach supposed to, make adjustments in real time based on their own observations? And speaking of Taylor, he was horrible at CB2. Really obvious why we moved him to slot, started Adebo this year, and cut Roby. Taylor is clearly going to be happy as a slot corner given how he was humbled this game.

I guess once we cut Roby the league that is always looking for seasoned backup CB’s apparently had similar evaluations, Roby sits. I personally have no insight other 31 teams passed on by.

Re: Saints @ Packers Game Day Thread
Isaac Yiadom actually looked pretty serviceable as a backup corner having to start. He had several PBU’s and the pass interference on both he and Taylor was very questionable to me. The likelihood of us being four and five deep with Marshon Lattimore’s at that position is improbable. They should have had Lattimore follow Doubs and play man all game while everybody else played zone. That would have helped out with some of the scrambling too. People tend to only remember the bad plays for certain guys. Yiadom has some potential. I like him. Roby definitely needed to be cut. He’s not that guy anymore and he was at his best in a zone which we don’t run nearly as much as man.

Taylor played the slot today 27 was the outside corner on that play what are you talking about ? And he still had a good game he had multiple pass break ups today. He didn't miss tackle 1v1 On FOURTH down vs a QB.

Re: Saints @ Packers Game Day Thread
I would argue the oline is the biggest issue. And has been for a while. Coaching needs improvement too
