Re: DC$'s AC Injury
Honestly speaking. I hope not.
This Oline has serious, serious issues. Guys repeatedly whiffing on blocks, DE running full sprint to our QB. Let DCarr sit out this week. Right now, that line can't protect. There is a real possibility Tampa will lose tonight. JW is capable. For at least a game or two. |

Re: DC$'s AC Injury
"Saints offensive line failed Derek Carr today, and we could all see it coming" - Nick Underhill.
That 2 min rant from Underhill is probably the realist I've heard from him in years. |

Re: DC$'s AC Injury
“He’s going to die”. That’s a pretty serious statement. On pace for being sacked 68 times. I see o line talent but not in the play. Maybe a change in coaching is due. A new o line coach couldn’t hurt

Re: DC$'s AC Injury
I have seen past reports of quarterbacks coming back the next week from an AC Sprain. Some are their non-throwing shoulder but others are their throwing shoulder. Drew Lock missed 3 games in 2020. Kyler Murray had an AC sprain to his throwing shoulder but did not miss a game. Justin Fields had one to his non-throwing shoulder, came back the next week, then took 1 week off. Bryce Young had one at Bama and missed 1 game. If you search Tom Brady AC joint he had numerous injuries to both shoulders over the years, played through all of them as far as I can tell, but had some kind of surgery in the offseason in 2004 on his throwing shoulder due to clicking etc, and tried to twist to land on his non throwing shoulder after that.
It seems like many can play through this injury if they have a lower grade sprain but based on Carr's initial reaction and the grim initial outlook, it seems likely that he has a relatively more severe sprain more in line with Drew Lock and will miss a few weeks, or more if further tests like an MRI show more issues. |
