Benson was threatening to move the Saints months before Hurricane Katrina

In April 2005, Saints owner Tom Benson put negotiations with the state and the Louisiana Superdome on hold after he and Governor Blanco’s team could not agree on the terms of a new lease. But that wasn’t the first time he had argued with city and state officials about the stadium. Benson owned property in San Antonio and the San Antonio Express-News reported that the city was his preferred destination for the team, but he was receiving offers from billionaires in Los Angeles and Albuquerque to sell or move the Saints.

Most people don't know that Tom Benson had a used car mentality before Loomis came on board and got him to rethink his initial investment strategy. He would sell his players when they had value and wasn't focused on winning but the focus was on the short term profit margins.

Have any of you ever worn a bag over your head? And I'm not talking about robbing the local liquor store either. Lol

I strongly believe that when Tom Benson decided to change his accounting principles that we brought home our first Lombardi. I don't want to go back to those days. For everyone who suggests that we are the Aints and want to wear bags on their head. May I suggest the plastic bags? It would reduce a lot of unnecessary suffering.
