I just hope this isn't an anomaly. That we can keep reproducing this type of game.

I think we would be 5-0 vs 3-2 had Carr not gotten hurt against the Pack.
That really rattled our cage for some reason. Then last week he clearly wasn't good to go even though in the pregame they said he felt almost 100%. Then this week they say he is almost 100%. LOL.

So thank God we win this one and another week of healing.

I'm actually looking forward to the game film study this week. We did several things right today and we need to remember which plays worked and which ones didn't.

There should some optimism on the boards this week after putting up a 30 burger and pitching a shutout. The Saints needed a strong win today and we got one in all three phases of the game.

Greatness is complicated. As a GM Al Davis won 3 Super Bowls, an AFL Championship, an additional AFC Championship, 15 division championships, and hired 4 rookie head coaches who went on to win Super Bowls. In his first 20 years he was the best GM in the league. Then for awhile he was mediocre and his ego caused him to clash with talented head coaches and give up too early. Then he was the worst GM in the league and just wanted to build a team to run track races and throw deep because he felt lucky. Al Davis had his day. Probably Bill Belichick has too. Dennis Allen and Pete Carmichael will likely never had theirs, but a ton more spending does buy enough mediocre competence to win a battle of mediocre teams.

Woah! Pump your brakes there. ALL of Bill's record and skins came with Tom Brady at the helm.

Bill Belichick's record without Brady on the roster is a combined 67-83. The last I checked that is NOTHING (sub .500) long term as HC over a ten year stretch.

The back to back games we "stunk it up" consisted of a game where we had a 17 point lead when losing our starting QB and the next game where our starting QB played with one day of limited practice.
