As easy as our schedule is, it seems to me like it just keeps getting easier even as we struggle. Most of the teams we play seem to have mixed results and/or suffer big injuries before they play us, and their preseason hopes of the scenarios where they could be better never seem to come through. Tampa Bay is the hottest team we have played and nobody considers them a serious threat, they were beat by more than double by the only winning team they played. Some may consider this a blessing but I would call it a curse in our situation. If we ever played a team that was hot and decently good we could better judge where we really stand but we are basically playing the entire season on easy mode. Even if we start winning, we have no idea if it means anything against all the good teams we dont play. All we can really tell is that blowouts would be a positive sign. At some level it would be better if we played SF or PHI and perhaps KC or MIA so we could better see whether we could compete and don't get too excited about trading wins and losses 50/50 with endless mediocre to poor teams.
Detroit might be the only good team we play all year. I am not sure about Jax. Yeah they are 3-2 but London is turning into an extreme home field advantage for them as other teams are not used to that travel, and they called the Jax vs Atlanta game a home game for Jax which is about like if we traveled to Lambeau field in a blizzard in December and they called it a home game for us. |

Re: Saints at Patriots LIVE Gameday Thread
This is usually where a Drew lead team would start putting a dagger in our opponents.

See, we don’t need Trequan. Our WR’s can block.
