As I understand it, quarters coverage puts Shaheed in a basic 1 on 1 matchup with the DB, with no safety help over the top. A matchup that Shaheed has proven he will win numerous times. |

This. In Quarters every DB has 1/4 of the the field. 25%…hence the name. Both CB’s and both safeties cover anything deep coming into their zone. It’s supposed to stop the deep ball, but if a guy can outrun it then it defeats the purpose.
