Josh McDaniels as OC or offensive consultant?

this is a discussion within the Saints Community Forum; Heck no. If we really wanted to signal a tank, this would be the play. I still want DA and Pete to fail. But I want it to be just them. No others to lay blame on....

I wonder how everyone would feel if Allen and Pete won a playoff game this year, or perhaps made it to the NFCCG?

Keep or cut?

I'd rather get slapped in the face.

It doesn't what any of us think, really. If we make the playoffs I'll bet you that both will return. Personally, I'd be okay with Carmichael being replaced, but I don't see it happening unless we make the playoffs with a losing record. And I don't see us winning less than nine.

Players hate Josh McDaniels. Perhaps a consultant. He really only has success at New England with Belichick.

So, if Alen takes a well built team and finishes with a 9-8 record and a playoff win then should he get another chance at mediocrity?

It doesn't matter if he should or not. Nothing any of us can do about it. It doesn't bother me because I know I have no say in the decision one way or another. Worrying about something that I have no control over is a waste of my time and energy. All I can do is hope for the best and remain positive. Life is too short to stress over things that you cannot control.

I would feel the same way if Allen made it to the NFCCG as if Adam Prentice led the NFL in total yards from scrimmage this season. It would be great and all, but when I say its not gonna happen, its not that I am rooting against Adam Prentice, its just not consistent with what I have seen of his abilities.

Ain’t that the truth.

Looking at players in the locker room post game win last week, they had that “ding dong wicked witch is dead” excitement .
