Actually the Lions could be a model for the Saints in another way. Maybe if we are bad enough, some of our players will retire and help us with the salary cap mess Mickey Loomis has got us in by pulling a Barry Sanders or Calvin Johnson. I know our front office and coaching staff don't mind losing at all, but maybe some players who are nearing retirement do.
