Why does this need to be excused away?

Cognitive Dissonance.

If Mickey bring DA and perhaps even Carmichael back next season, he is banking on retaining fans via Stockholm Syndrome.

Mickey Loomis does not care about fans. The Saints used to have a fan advisory board and after Loomis muscled Fielkow out of the front office he canceled it. The only way Loomis wants to see a fan is if they are giving him some bottles of hard drinks. And if Saints fans don't appreciate him he is sure Falcons fans will mail him all he can drink to New Orleans.

You know when you sell your tickets you have no idea who's buying them.

The fans that have season tickets have either had them for decades or have spent many years on a waiting list to finally get them. As one of those fans there is no way I would ever let a temporary lull in success make me forfeit those tickets with no chance of getting them back for years.

This is something that non-ticket holders fail to understand. That's throwing out the baby with the bath water. The Saints have been far, far, far worse than anything we are seeing now in our history. I can tell you this for a certainty, it is way more fun to watch any Saints game, win or lose, in the Dome than from the couch at home, win or lose.

Twitter reporting Allen likely to return for third year "barring something drastic"

Now hear me out here, how is a losing season vs the easiest schedule in the league, in the easiest division in the league, not drastic?

Absolutely clueless clown show by Saints Management.

Empty seats in that re vamped dome for 2024 may get their attention.

And that's a risk they're willing to take. Fans are saying "I'd rather a Lions fan sit in my seats to cheer on their own team."
