Saints have had the second easiest schedule this year

this is a discussion within the Saints Community Forum; Taysom Hill is a great guy but he should be traded to the Cowboys because looking unstoppable against bad teams and being stopped against good teams is his specialty. Nothing personal but the bruising wildcat runner is just a thing ...

Taysom Hill is a great guy but he should be traded to the Cowboys because looking unstoppable against bad teams and being stopped against good teams is his specialty. Nothing personal but the bruising wildcat runner is just a thing that works better used sparingly and only against defenses that struggle to adjust to it. The $10 million a year would be better spent on oline depth so that the running backs can runs and the QB can pass. You can say Hill's production is worth $10 million, but if it doesn't come against the tough defenses in the big games, its not worth it to me.

Kamara won't need to put in a trade request. DA and Loomis will cut Thomas and Kamara loose for dissent and give long extensions to the rah rah chop wood guys. They are building a culture around their own identities, which resemble the Cleveland Browns culture under Hue Jackson. Except without stockpiling draft picks. Stick to the plan. If Olave acts up, they will trade him the Eagles for a 5th.

I think the Saints will most likely go 1-1 in their final two games. DA is consistently inconsistent.

Love Taysom. But I certainly can appreciate your opinion. But he always seems to do well against most opponents given the chance to do so. His last game he had 2 runs. Idk if that’s really giving him the opportunity to do anything. Again, I don’t have the stats in front of me as far as how he does against “good teams vs bad teams.”

I would think that most good players look better against trash teams. Lol. Like our current team.

Imo, Hill earns his money much more than many other players on our team and others. Especially our current starting QB, WR and coach and OC.

Just thoughts.

If we lose Taysom, we lose what little excitement we have left.

I think we should draft oline not Jayden Daniels, but lets say we did draft Daniels and he worked his way up to starter. Are you going to take Daniels off the field repeatedly to get Hill his snaps? Its hard to quantify how much Hill takes other QBs out of their rhythm with the wildcat snaps, but I am sure it has some effect. But more importantly spending $10 million on a wildcat QB not oline has an effect on the other QBs and the other RBs. But it doesn't matter, with the salary cap at only $240 million projected for 2024 we need to restructure and keep 75% of these guys, and Hill will probably be one to stay.

Time to move Taysom and get value if we can. Same with Kamara. 2024 may be the year we can trade these players and get some cap relief and draftable assets. Agreed on the OL. Will we get a shot at JD5?
