Speaking of OC's, every team in the NFL has changed OC since 2022. Wow!

No wonder there is no consistency in football. No one has a chance to really prove themselves before they get promoted. There are always desperate teams willing to take a gamble or a long shot on an up and coming young coach.

The new coordinator may want to use different blocking schemes than what Marrone likes to use.

A fresh approach with new energy is what is needed for the offensive line to buy in and improve in 2024.

Kamara & Williams had very few run lanes.

Or no one gets a chance to really prove themselves before they get fired. Knee jerking has grown to be a common occurrence in the league, and in life, these days. Sadly.

Well, apparently Atlanta didn't want Belichick, either. LOL!

Sean Payton knows of a youth team he can coach.

LOL!

You laughing at a Legend is almost as ridiculous as you anticipating something even just above mediocre with who we have at the helm.

FYI, Saints are interviewing former Eagle OC Brian Johnson on Monday.

IMO that ain't the hire you want.

Brian Johnson is 37, as well.

Atlanta has interviewed Robertson, he was QB Coach for the Rams and Morris was the DC …. Hmmmm. Possibly another candidate off the board. The Sullivan interviews kind gives me that SMFH moment.

Familiarity with both of the Carr QB’s,lattest stop Pitt as QB coach to Pickett, how that go. Calling plays last part of the season. 🤷*♂️🙅🏼*♂️🤦*♂️ Sullivan has no history with a team whose Offensive DNA reflects where the NFL is going not where NFL offenses were 10+ years ago.

Re: Nick Underhill expects the Saints to hire a new offensive coordinator in 2024

The 2024 Saints need a lot. Coaches AND new players.

If a guy like Marvin Harrison Jr or Dallas Turner "slip" in the draft, I'm taking either.

You can probably find a quality lineman (see O'Cyrus Torrence) on Day 2. Solid contributor for Buffalo as a rookie (2023), not to mention he started in all 17 games. Ranks 26 out of 62 guards, pass blocking grades of 71.5 & 55.6 in run blocking.

Those are quality numbers you expect from a 1st rounder and he was a Day 2 guy.

Yep, time for the scouts to hit on these 2024 draft picks.

Well where is the new OC? Are they waiting for other teams to hire OCs first so we will have no choice except to hire from within?

They could be waiting for someone from one of the remaining teams in the playoffs. I'm glad they aren't trying to rush into anything. There are still a dozen or so teams that haven't filled their spots yet.

Falcons hire Zac Robinson as offensive coordinator

Solid hire by the Falcons. I fully expect them to take a top QB in this year's draft. Like I've stated before, the Falcons aren't going to suck forever.

Loomis better wake up.

The Falcon are pretty stupid so I would not rule out a scenario where they draft Brock Bowers and bring in Justin Fields to pair his winning percentage with Raheem Morris’.

Jerrod Johnson had his 2nd interview with the Saints so …

Did some great things with CJ in 2023.

Helps his case that he’s an TAM Aggie.

Most guys see the staff as a lame duck situation and don't want to take what will most likely be a one year gig. Plus, Allen isn't going to want a truly talented, up and coming guy for the position because it would ultimately challenge his authority. I expect a fully underwhelming hire at the position.

I'm sure a lot of good OC prospects are waiting for the premier spot to open up ... the job in Detroit under Campbell once Ben Johnson takes a HC job, presuming the Lions have no one in house they'll promote. Then the dominos will start to fall.

Seems like Morris and Robinson were a package deal, so in that light the Morris hire by the Falcons isn't too bad.

Go ahead and hire Jerrod Johnson and let’s start implementing this new offense.

Coincidentally, here's Triplett and Underhill discussing exactly why that very way of thinking makes no sense.

I really think most of the waiting is for the playoffs to be over. Especially this week's games. In other words, it's not the candidates that are dragging their feet, it's the teams in need waiting for all of the options to become available for in person interviews.

So ... who is on Ben Johnson's coaching tree? Might be worth a look even if it's Baby Groot.

The Saints search for an offensive coordinator has narrowed considerably, per source. They have honed in on their candidates and are adhering to league rules as they go through the process.

Sounds like their man is still coaching?

Could this be who we've been waiting on? I believe in-person interviews were not allowed prior to Sunday's games for candidates on teams still active.

Ben Johnson staying says a lot about the Campbell Lions culture and the great weapons they have in place there. He's making pennies compared to dollars to stay.
