Fire Dennis Allen NOW
So as the season is ending on the Saints - yet again needing just 1 win to make the post season - our coach is apologizing for the last TD of the game.
PLEASE get this mealy mouthed mediocre excuse for a leader out of here NOW MAYBE someone with a little more backbone might have made this team play complete games all year and not come out flat week after week. |
Re: Fire Dennis Allen NOW
It is very ironic that the one thing that will cause DA to call out players is scoring a TD. He is fine with not scoring. If he wants to kiss Arthur Smiths ass so much they should get married first.

Re: Fire Dennis Allen NOW
Everything I’ve read shows him staying. Get use to seeing his face
|
Re: Fire Dennis Allen NOW
Yep. He’s staying. There will be pain.
|
Re: Fire Dennis Allen NOW
And no playoffs.
|
Re: Fire Dennis Allen NOW
Excellent, 2 pointless wins with no pressure on to keep the gang together one more go. Dropping about 10 places in the draft and no playoffs.
But hey Dennis Allen has a winning season, will play injuries and still be here next September for another 7-10 to 9-8 |
Re: Fire Dennis Allen NOW
What a weird ending. We win 48-17 and that last TD and the fallout offers all the evidence you'd ever need that DA has lost this team.
It was pretty gutless to fake a kneel down and then score. Just run a normal play or Jamaal doesn't get his participation trophy TD. There's no one's side I want to take on this. |

Cream puff coach leads cream puff effort against cream puff schedule with cream puff results…
Dude needs to go. If not now, he’ll be fired mid-way or at the end of next season. Do the fans a solid - save us the ulcer and give us a reason to think next year will be better |
Re: Fire Dennis Allen NOW
Only thing that will keep him in the job is the fact most coaches wont touch the job. Aging team, no cap and few picks

Re: Fire Dennis Allen NOW
The last TD was a microcosm of Dennis Allen. Not a bad Defensive Coordinator who gets the job done, but doesn't really have a voice or control of the lockerroom.
|
Re: Fire Dennis Allen NOW
Allen is a good guy. A good defensive coach. Not a head coach. The team played less than it's talent. Came up short in a terrible division. I would get ahead of the Raiders and offer Pierce the job. The veteran heavy roster would respect him and the young guys should really excel.

Re: Fire Dennis Allen NOW
Dennis can get all the players and fans respect back in an instant. All it takes is one simple action:
Resign |

Re: Fire Dennis Allen NOW
I think the fans should put up a "Keep Dennis Allen" billboard. Why? Mickey seems to disregard what ever the fans and Superdome patrons say and rub our noses in it. Reverse psychology might be our only chance.
|
Re: Fire Dennis Allen NOW
The guy will never be any better than he has been in his career! We have enough track record to know that for a fact! It can only get worse for us if we keep him!!! Why isn’t PC fired yet? Management is crap!!!
|
Re: Fire Dennis Allen NOW
I have a feeling that the petition will get a lot more signatures if he fails again. He may not make it through the season if Belichick takes the Atlanta job.
|
Re: Fire Dennis Allen NOW
I think he has purely been kept on as the team can't make the changes the new coaching staff would want. They are stuck with aging vets, a middling QB and no cap or draft picks to change things. They know no coach worth their salt will touch the team for at least 12 months maybe 2 years so are sticking with Allen

Re: Fire Dennis Allen NOW
Speaking of Atlanta, I see Harbaugh wrapped up his interview with them on today. Better hope this guy doesn't end up in the NFC South.
Jim is a winner. On both the collegiate and pro level. Harbaugh along with a top notch QB (pick #8 in rd 1), that's not good for us. Especially considering we still have Dennis Allen as HC. |

IMO Harbaugh is a much better coach now than when he last left the NFL. At this point he is almost interviewing the teams not the other way around. |

Kudos to ATL for actually trying to truly improve at HC though. Good coaches landing jobs in the NFC south isn't going to be good for us. |

Comparing Dennis Allen to 4 Hall of fame coaches is absolutely ridiculous. He is so adamant of defending a terrible head coach. He isn’t a new HC. Something is off with this guy. His tone & coming across so defensive to reporters. And the gum chewing was annoying as hell. |

Raiders last season under Allen
4-12 Started next season 0-4 Won 1 of last 13 games First full season after 7-9,season after that 12-4. Kind of tells you who was a big issue |

Watched now. I wanted so bad for someone to then ask him - "what are the qualities or signs you see in Dennis that lead you believe he has that pantheon-level coaching ability?" |
