And it looks like there are a few good HC candidates to choose from this offseason

I predicted Tomlin would go to the Falcons.... Looking like Bill will slide in Atlanta instead.

The Saints signed a 5 year extension on the Dome. The cracks are beginning to form right in front of our eyes. John Gruden? You think Goodell dislikes Payton? Keep DA let him run the franchise back to the Aints days. The dome starts to get empty right about the end of the 5 year period. Ownership complains about lack of local support. Away they go!! Everything the front office is saying and doing points in that direction.

While I can't say that this would never happen, I think that the possibilities are extremely low. Even Goodell knows that the Saints fanbase is one of the strongest and most loyal fanbases in the NFL.

The Saints aren't going anywhere anytime soon. If I remember correctly Paul Tagliabue was instrumental in keeping the Saints in New Orleans when Godhell wanted them moved to San Antonio after Katrina.

Gayle Benson has her will designed to keep the Saints in New orleans after her death.

We may not be a large market team but the Saints fan base is strong along the Gulf Coast.

Not HC (firings) related but thought I'd post these here ...

Eagles Firing Coach Brian Johnson Per ‘All Indications’: Report

Jaguars to hire Ryan Nielsen as defensive coordinator

With Arthur Smith OUT as HC in Atlanta, not surprised to see Ryan move on. I wish him well down in Jacksonville.

Exactly!

And one of the main factors as to why the Saints will never be leaving New Orleans is the Super Bowl itself. Of all franchise locations in the league New Orleans remains the most well suited to host the big game when factoring in the infrastructure (hotels, restaurants, entertainment, and international airport) and the climate. The game is mandated to be played in the home stadium of one of the franchises every year and will continue to remain in the regular rotation. The upgrades being completed this year were no doubt are part of the deal to keep that spot intact for many years to come.

Win or lose it has grown to the point where tickets will continue to be sold out every year, be it to Saints fans or to ticket brokers, given that New Orleans remains one of the top tourist destinations in the entire country.

Translation: I am happy to pour my hard earned money into refurbishing a stadium where I can watch other teams win games, including Super Bowls, while my beloved home team sinks into a swamp, right before my eyes (fogged rose colored glasses).

Pass the Xanax and buy more merch. YOUDAT.
