It would be hard to take the Saints out of New Orleans because of the history of the Superdome - the sheer number of Super Bowls and Sugar Bowls that have been played here, some Final Four's too I believe. And more to come as time goes on. People know that New Orleans is a tourist destination of its own kind. There's more leverage than just the Saints and the loyal fan base itself. Other cities like Buffalo and Minnesota have been rumored to lose their teams over time yet they are standing strong and NOLA has advantages over them as the optics of the NFL losing NOLA would be the worst.

Mike Vrabel undergoing in-person second interview with Falcons on Wednesday
Credit Mr. Blank on trying to get better with proven (Belichick, Harbaugh) head coaches. Like I stated in another post, Atlanta isn't going to "suck" forever in the NFC South. |

Re: Annual Black Monday Happenings
Just heard something interesting on NFL Radio concerning the Falcons and their owner Blank. They were concerned that Blank keeps going outside and hiring a new coach every three years, but that he "just keeps doing the same thing" keeping those in charge of player acquisition around year after year. I thought it was humorous that the Failclowns were being accused by them of doing the same thing that some around here believe the Saints are doing.

Re: Annual Black Monday Happenings
I'm glad Harbaugh is going to the AFC West. That should be an entertaining division. Harbaugh, Payton, and Reid are proven winners and Pierce was a smart player in his day. The Raiders players apparently love playing for him.
Any of those coaches would immediately make a contender of any of the NFC South teams. |
