Daniel Jeremiah 2024 NFL mock draft 1.0: Bears, Commanders, Patriots, Saints pick quarterbacks
Pick
14 New Orleans Saints Bo Nix Oregon · QB · Senior I’m a big fan of Nix’s game. I think his experience as a five-year starter is a positive for him as he heads to the next level. He would be a plug-and-play starter in New Orleans. I’m not confident the Saints view Derek Carr as the answer. https://www.nfl.com/news/daniel-jere...mock-draft-1-0 |

There is zero chance the Saints take a QB @ #14.
Zero chance. Saints have a very old roster & they need a lot of other things. |

Here we go with what they want us to draft so that we remain in the catacombs of the NFL.

Re: Daniel Jeremiah 2024 NFL mock draft 1.0: Bears, Commanders, Patriots, Saints pick quarterbacks
Daniel Jeremiah does this nearly every year with the Saints. Its like he wants to send certain players to certain teams afterwards so gives the Saints some random weird pick. Why would a team with no cap, 2 picks in the first 140 odd and many holes to fill and a coach that has to win draft a QB that will sit for 2 years

Re: Daniel Jeremiah 2024 NFL mock draft 1.0: Bears, Commanders, Patriots, Saints pick quarterbacks
The pundits think we need an O lineman. LT mostly but Ram is highly questionable at this point. So, that means we have to fill one spot in the draft and still hope for the best at the other tackle spot. DE seems to be the next position that we are the weakest with Cam getting older and no one to replace him after years of high draft picks trying to do just that.
The other position that screams for an up grade is at DT. Saunders and Shepard were the big hires last year and neither one was getting to the QB or stopping the run. We need to draft another big boy to clog up the middle with double teams and free up the other players to apply pressure in the pocket. We have to double down in the trenches again and hope that a new OC can get Penning to live up to his potential while coaching up a new draft pick to solidify the O line for Carr and the run game. |

The Saints have essentially two picks worth a damn, anything from 150 after is a shot in the dark. I'm happy to see them go with O-line in both rounds unless someone to good not to take falls
just hoping they don't start drafting away next years picks to move up, though im sure they will as Allen won't care what state the team he leaves is in if he fails |

There have only been a small handful of head coaches that have been the decision makers when it came to drafting over the past decade or so. Payton, Belichick, Andy Reid, and Bill Parcells are the only ones I can think of off the top of my head. |
