Honestly, I want a tackle there because I want the O line to get better and we need to address it in the draft.....but I could live with Bowers and who ever we traded back into the early second round for on the O line if we double dipped at the position.
Too many injuries. I wouldn't draft him at #14.

If we need guard help Mason McCormick would be a good contributor. He was a high school friend of my daughter's and she can vouch for his character. Kid has been handling himself like a pro all along.

Jared Wiley
TE - TCU

Big target at 6’6, has good technique and length.
Uses his height to his advantage on those 50/50 balls.

He is a good YAC guy. Saints desperately need more of those.

Mid round (3-5) grades.

Jayon Simpson - Auburn

Takes good angles to the ball.

Knocks - takes some to time (long strider) reach top speed
Needs to wrap up more consistently.

Re: Official 2024 Saints Draft Discussion

Just try and get play to fill both sides of the trenches this year unless someone starts to fall thats just too good to let slip.

I think you can enough players to fill any other gaps in FA and with UDFA. But unless they can stop the run and stop the pressure on the QB and actually make some holes for Kamara then the team isn't going anywhere next season.

Looking long term there are big decisions to make especially in 2025, but theres a big light at the end of the tunnel after this season with the cap though it will mean letting go of some players and leaving holes in the team

Going into 2025 season, going by overthecap
Demario Davis will be 36 going on 37 by the start of the playoffs
Taysom Hill will be 35 by the season starts
Lattimore 29
Cam Jordan 36
Alvin Kamara 30

Ryan Ramczyk will most likely retire
And Derek Carr contract looks cutable with a post June cut

The team needs a major youth injection

"Two receivers to the left, Garcon to the right. Manning in the shotgun, puts Collie in motion. Looks in his direction...it's picked off! It's picked off! It's Tracy Porter again! He's runnin' free! He's gonna go all the way!

Why cut the reigning NFL MVP?

I was gonna trade in my 10yo suv in a year or so, but why let go of the reigning formula one monaco grand prix champ?
