Another top prospect skipping the Underwear Olympics.

Saints were near the bottom half in pass rush efficiency in 2023.

Dak, Mahomes, Hebert, Hurts, Love, Highland Park are all on the schedule and all will slice you up if they have time. Can’t expect the secondary to cover forever.

DE & OL are 1a & 1b for me in the upcoming draft.
What if the staff feels Foskey and Turner are healthy enough and ready?

Do you still spend another high draft pick on a DE?

Not surprised by any of this. Hope other players realize this gives them a chance to impress at the combine since some top guys will not be taking part in any of the physical assessment.

The same staff thought Michael Thomas was healthy enough and ready the last 4 years. So if the right oline is not available and the right pass rusher is, and you can’t trade back, then yes. At this point anyone who pencils in Payton Turner as a definite contributor is a fool. He is in prove-it territory.

Yes, I would.

Especially if a guy like Bama's Dallas Turner or Jared Verse is still on the board. We have to take advantage of potentially adding another speedy, athletic pass rusher. Personally I don't trust Payton Turner's health (played in 15 games in 3 seasons) & no clue what we have in Foskey.

Saints need more juice off the edge.

Then I would argue we not DRAFT another DE. Unless the consensus "can't miss, day one impact" guy is there at 14, it may be smart to spend the money in FA on a proven player.
