It is virtually impossible to rig anything in the NFL for this very reason. Someone will talk. As leilung so accurately explains, when there are more than a couple of people involved it will be exposed. In this case there would have to be dozens, or even hundreds of people involved. No way it is blown up in short order.
Bull****. There are plenty of ways to ensure nobody talks. More so now than ever with sports betting becoming legal and all.

What is hidden in plain sight doesn’t require secrets, just a manipulation of procedures, and following of orders, executed at the professional level. Money makes that happen.

Nobody needs to keep a secret if its biased not rigged. Its like the kid whose dad donated a bunch of money to the school getting their papers graded easier than the poor kid with a history of being suspended. The teachers dont have to conspire or discuss. They dont have to keep a secret. They just have to realize flunking the rich kid would not be a good career move. The rams are like that rich kid with the rich owner daddy and the fancy new house who had just donated $550 million to the league to move to LA. The Saints were like the poor kid who had just been suspended in bountygate and got off easy after beating some of the suspensions and came from a poor town with an old house. Life’s not fear. People who think it is are the ones with the tin foil only they twisted it into a rainbow halo and unicorn horn. The saints got screwed because we aren’t the big market and if the nfl has to showcase one hero team and make an example of a villain team, we get cast as the villain.
