The NFL is rigged

Now that the SB is over, let's talk about this. Ever since 2018 my eyes opened up and I never saw the game the same way I used to. It was like the scales were ripped off of my eyes.

What do I mean by rigged... The refs 100% control the flow and outcome of games. I know I will get a lot of flack for saying this, but it is what it is.

The NFL is nothing more than bread and circus. If you know your history, you'll know what I'm talking about.

Just one example of many concerning "controlling the flow."

It takes time to pull your fandom out and just watch the game and observe. The refs aren't bad, they are actually very good a manipulating the outcomes of the game.

It’s even more miraculous considering how many times their QB changes direction in a play, and 0 holding penalties implies that no one’s hands got outside of the defenders pads.

A hold can be called on virtually every play. That doesn't mean anything is rigged.

My whole problem with conspiracies is that it requires more than 2 people to pull one off. Also, in the end, someone gets pissed off and TELLS!

I know that in some games, there's definitely someone with their thumb on the scale. But I truly believe that these refs have ZERO balls when it comes to making these calls in a big game, because they don't want to get labeled as inserting themselves into the game (too much). The converse is the ref playing the 'see no evil' or even worse, the 'no blood, no foul' game. Catch 22.

It is virtually impossible to rig anything in the NFL for this very reason. Someone will talk. As leilung so accurately explains, when there are more than a couple of people involved it will be exposed. In this case there would have to be dozens, or even hundreds of people involved. No way it is blown up in short order.

Bull****. There are plenty of ways to ensure nobody talks. More so now than ever with sports betting becoming legal and all.
