It’s cool if you can admit that. Some of us want so badly to win it all, we were saying NO to duds like Dennis Allen and Derek Carr (TWO KEY POSITIONS) right from the start, while y’all were telling us to give it time to develop. Time has passed, and now you believe that K.K. is going to magically or strategically turn this ship around. It’s painful to enter into a discussion with people who are either happy to miss the playoffs, or who are delusional… but some of us keep trying to talk some common sense into y’all.
I want this team, under the current leadership to win. You don’t.

You were the one always complaining like a 12-year-old girl, not me. At least have the guts to own it

My complaining is like a loyal fan whose team has been consistently disappointing us since Drew was in decline and Sean Payton started packing his bags. You said that the sky wasn’t falling and that we should give it more time to develop, and you’re saying it again this year. Even a 12 year old girl has got the brains to know that you can’t put lipstick on this pig, and call it a supermodel. Do you have the guts to see it for what it is?

There is no loyalty in you for the Saints. You are a fair-weather, spoiled detractor of the team.

There hasn’t been fair weather in a long time, and I am as loyal as ever, but the Saints front office has been anything but loyal to its fans. Perhaps you might want to redirect your personal attack to management, instead of at a fan for calling it as it is.

Actually my complaint with you isn't your complaining about the current regime. My true complaint is that you have absolutely no clue how to fix it. So, you clear out what you consider to be the current mess. Then what? Who do you bring in to give you the championship caliber squad you so desperately want?

An you just can't wash your hands of it and say "Well, that's Mrs. Benson's problem to solve." If she had the capacity to solve that problem, then she would have done it. You are asking her to dismiss a leadership team that brought her and her husband (and us fans BTW) great joy by bringing a Championship to New Orleans. If it were easy, or even possible, to recreate the GM,HC,QB leadership squad that got a championship, don't you think that she, and 30 other teams in the NFL would do that?

Let's not forget that leadership team got to the top of the mountain once. That same group failed to reach the top 14 other seasons.

So, fine, get rid of Dennis Allen, Mickey Loomis, Dennis Lauscha, and even Mrs. Benson and all the players. But with no plan of how to fill that void, and I doubt that you have one, all of your complaining is really just a waste of time.

And none of this is wanting to settle for mediocrity. It's just operating in the reality that none of the above people will be going anywhere before the end of the 2024 regular season. So, it's just more productive to discuss what these people can do, instead of complaining about what they can't when there's absolutely nothing that be done about getting rid of any of them in the forseeable future.

What I want to hear from you:

Get rid of Dennis Allen. Replace him with ______________.
Carr has got to go. Draft/Trade/Sign for ________________.
Get rid of Mickey Loomis. Replace him with _____________.
Get rid of Lauscha. The new team president needs to be _____________.
Have Mrs Benson sell the team. Sell the team to ________________

But you don't even try to fill in the blanks. Clearly for a championship team you feel the need to replace these people. So, exactly who are they? Who out there is actually going to make the difference you are looking for?

BTW I don't have a clue to these blanks either. But like the others I'm hoping we can roll with the current squad and make some progress. Sometimes the injury bug stays home, units like the offensive line gels, and new system and new spark on the offensive side can make a difference. There is a reason that the NFL turns over a minimum of 6 playoff teams each and every year. Will that be the 2024 Saints? Maybe or maybe not. But unlike you, I'm not going to just walk away from the entire 2024 season because the personnel that's currently in place is absolutely not to your liking.

Super Bowl Championships: New Orleans Saints:1, Carolina:0, Atlanta Chokers: STILL ZERO

Only Atlanta choked in an unchokable situation... Life is definitely good.

It’s not my job to fill in the blanks. If I ran my personal/professional business the way Gayle runs this one, my customers would come after me with pitchforks. My business runs smoothly and satisfactory enough (even on my shoestring budget), that I get to curl up on the couch on Sunday (and some embarrassing Thursday Nights) to hopefully watch some championship-level Football, played by multi millionaires, run by billionaires who don’t seem to give s rat’s a$$ about what I (or you) enjoy. So I drop in to vent to other fans about what I am (or am not) witnessing with a team that I have followed and rooted for for decades.

It’s too bad that that’s not what you want to hear from me.
You either get to hear me vent, or scroll on, or set me to IGNORE (almost like Quido LOL) until our team is owned by someone who cares about putting a winning professional football team on the field.

I wish we didn’t have to even have this conversation… but here we are… again.

Typical for you: "I don't know how to fix it, but I'm just going to complain until it's fixed."

You know damn well that if a customer of your business was as unhappy with you as you are with the Saints, they would simply go find another business to fill their needs.

Why don't you go do that? Go be a Chiefs fan. They have the organization you want and the championships you want. Then everyone can all be happy.

And I'm not going to ignore you. You are a pest. I'm just as committed to getting you to understand that we realize that the current iteration of the Saints are a work in progress and that nothing is going to significantly change in the next 6 months of the regular season. So, complaining about the composition of the organization, especially without any plan for correcting it (which you dodged exactly as I predicted), is a complete and utter waste of time.

You've been complaining for 2 years. Nothing about the Saints has changed in two years. So, all your complaining does is give everyone here a headache when all we want to talk about is Saints Football in whatever iteration we are operating in.

I've been going to Saints games and have been a Saints fan since 1972. I saw Archie. I was at the grand opening of the SuperDome. I've suffered the paper bag days, and the 1-15 season when the only team the Saints beat was the New York Jets one snowy Sunday in New York. I was there when the Saints won their first playoff game when Hakim dropped the ball. And followed the team after Katrina devastated the 2005 season. I sat my butt in Chicago in 2006 for the Saints first NFC championship game. And I sure celebrated when they finally won it all in 2009. And every season since up to and including last seasons 9-8 campaign.

This period is just a blip in my Saints history. And when folks keep saying that this iteration of the Saints is the worst they've ever seen, that just means they have not been around long enough to really understand what that means.

So, like Guido, and Rugs, and the others, I look at this season with an eye on improvement. This iteration of the Saints are not going 16-1, #1, NFC championship game and Super Bowl win. But if they can continue to make progress, that makes the season worth watching.

Still waiting for your list of replacements. Since you figure you can complain your way to a championship team, you can also advise Mrs. Benson on exactly how to do that too.
