Re: Tracking Roster Cutdowns

AK, Jamal, Taysom & Mims would be my RBs.
Find a spot for Rico Payton.

Hedley ... cut. Isaiah Foskey ... cut.

Robinson seems to be doing pretty good. Toss up between he and Mims for me.

Then again wtf do I know? Lol

Also, Rattler looks better and more comfortable than Haener.

One full season in the “system” and it’s time to compete for the starting job.

Um also Foskey looks better and more comfortable than…than…than a watermelon. And with his half sack performance, he’s obviously pushing himself to the limits. Lol.

Re: Tracking Roster Cutdowns

A few notes:

- the vast majority of these moves will be made by releasing or waiving players. A player with 4 or more years of service is a vested veteran and thus is outright released. Those players can sign with another team ASAP. A non-vested veteran is subject to the NFL’s waiver system

- teams can also reduce their roster by keeping players on the PUP list (e.g. Nick Chubb). These players are ineligible to return to game action any sooner than Week 5

- teams will also be placing players on injured reserve. This year, a new rule is in place: teams may designate up to 2 players placed on IR at the cutdown as eligible to return (after at least 4 games missed). In prior years, a player had to be on the team’s initial 53-man roster for one business day to be eligible to return

- on Wednesday at Noon ET, the league will process waiver claims submitted on any player that was placed on waivers. The priority of the waiver claim order matches the original 2024 NFL Draft order (1. Carolina to 32. Kansas City). The waiver is a useful tool to mine for young, developmental talent

- today will be just initial 53-man rosters. Countless more roster moves are ahead in advance of Week 1

“The pessimist sees difficulty in every opportunity. The optimist sees the opportunity in every difficulty.” — Winston Churchill

Probably not but I’d bring in Max Scharping (LG) for a visit.

Nick Saldiveri missed a lot of camp. Quality depth is lacking.
