Ah a good season or 3 of losing 12 or more games is like natures forest fire.
It just burns up and gets rid of all the older less cap friendly guys and leaves room for some younger talent while the team gets a fresh set of coaches. It also burns out all the fake fans who will start following other clubs because the Saints suck again and won’t be that fun to watch. It might be ugly, but sometimes it’s necessary. The pendulum can only be held back so long before it swings full. And it’s coming. Exciting times are ahead! |

That's Cam knowing he has Loomis by the dangily bits because he's owed 20ml(cap hit) and it'll cost them money on the cap to cut him

Re: Observations from Saints loss to Raiders in the Superdome
Maybe the Saints should shut the door to the Saints Hall of Fame to Cam and never induct him. True greats like Brees retired when they knew they could no longer contribute, not dressed like a pirate and robbed their teams future. Cam always got the stats to get paid, but his inability to play at another level in the biggest games is one reason the Saints never got another ring, while players like Aaron Donald, Vin Miller, and Chris Jones did. Jordan has a fun personality, but in the end it all remains about himself not the team.

Demario doing his best to show that he needs to retire too. He's been god awful most of the last 2 years, everyone saw it yesterday. At least 2 or 3 steps late on every single play, missed tackles, can't defend a pass, yet wants to preach and tells people to not panic on a 4 year playoff drought. Sounds like Loomis put the script in front of him. Been a great player for us, but he's missed the mark here and he's no longer the player he was. Cut bait, get younger players. |
