Re: Observations from Saints loss to Raiders in the Superdome
Well it was a barn burner. At least we know what we’ve got (or don’t got) come the off season.
Should be interesting. I almost feel like they’re tanking the last 2 games. |

Re: Observations from Saints loss to Raiders in the Superdome
I have only seen the highlights today
Overall its really really bad. There is little cap flexability without doing the same damn thing that hasn't been working for the past 5 years. It leaves me feeling exactly the same as before, blow it up. I would 100% start with Carr, we don't save anything by cutting him and i don't see the benefit of even giving him a post June cut as they still need to be cap compliant before his cut. So cut him immediatley. There is no upside to Carr at least with Rattler he is young and you can give him the starts and see if he has anything to work with. It won't happen as there isn't a cap benefit to keep him and cutting him and eating the dead money is a really bad look for Loomis. So he will still be here and having him start will probably end up guaranteeing the team 5/6 wins and just blowing a top 5 pick in a season that will be a disater either way. 2026 looks like the time when they will have the ability to start sorting the mess out. |
"Two receivers to the left, Garcon to the right. Manning in the shotgun, puts Collie in motion. Looks in his direction...it's picked off! It's picked off! It's Tracy Porter again! He's runnin' free! He's gonna go all the way!

Just reading Nick Underhills latest piece from Mathieu comments. They are not good reading. Pretty said every practise for the last 3 years is at walking pace and it's no wonder players can't tackle and get hurt. It's a pretty brutal assessment and read

Re: Observations from Saints loss to Raiders in the Superdome
Ah a good season or 3 of losing 12 or more games is like natures forest fire.
It just burns up and gets rid of all the older less cap friendly guys and leaves room for some younger talent while the team gets a fresh set of coaches. It also burns out all the fake fans who will start following other clubs because the Saints suck again and won’t be that fun to watch. It might be ugly, but sometimes it’s necessary. The pendulum can only be held back so long before it swings full. And it’s coming. Exciting times are ahead! |

But if you get the right people in and scout well you can turn things around pretty quick. Hopefully one 2026/27 drafts will have a good crop of QBs because nothing turns a franchise round quicker than a QB on a rookie deal |

Re: Observations from Saints loss to Raiders in the Superdome
That's Cam knowing he has Loomis by the dangily bits because he's owed 20ml(cap hit) and it'll cost them money on the cap to cut him
