Just get Pete in a room with Gayle lets see Mr Big League Chew try to shoot down that smile. Pete would likely be willing to coach short term and could transition into a GM role and would be a very good qualified GM. Pete's problem with the Seahawks was he could not lose enough games to get a top QB in the draft. We have the roster that can solve that in 2025.

He did win with a journeyman QB for a couple of years. But is he better than BB would have been?

Fully expecting Mickey to go with whatever coach tells him that he can work with the current roster and how injuries killed the team.

Personally, I’m already more hopeful and excited about the next season just knowing we’re gonna have a new coach. I haven’t been this excited about the team since week 2.

It was just a gradual sinking ship.

I’m hopeful.

Well, our boy #9 has his thoughts on who should be the next HC. Hopefully, Ms. Gayle is listening to someone other than Loomis!

For the first time in a while, I'm really not.The 2017 draft and Drew Brees had kept the ship afloat. But Brees is long gone and that 2017 class is gone via trade or retirement.

The Saints have had nothing, other than TH7, since in the last 7 years that points the arrow upwards. And that's Loomis' fault. And Loomis is still here.

Until Mickey turns over the football reigns to someone else, I fear that no coaching change is going to make much difference. We as an organization will still be in the rotating carousel of extensions for aging stars, reach picks giving up draft capital, and letting go players who go on in their careers looking like hall of famers (Hedrickson, Baun).

Wake me up when Mickey kicks himself upstairs. Until then, it's just the same ole, same ole.

Super Bowl Championships: New Orleans Saints:1, Carolina:0, Atlanta Chokers: STILL ZERO

Only Atlanta choked in an unchokable situation... Life is definitely good.

Understandable outlook bro.

I guess I just feel like some change is bound to happen and this team was pretty close to rock bottom this year.

I don’t think we sniff the playoffs for another season or two. But I’m just hopeful that maybe the team starts to get on track and we find a coach that is worth a ****.

Of course I could be totally wrong and we’re screwed. Lol

Rebuild it. Hard reset. Way past due.

If you don’t, expect to see what you saw in 2024.

What really sucks is watching former players we couldn’t (ML the “cap ologist”) retain, thrive with other teams.

Won't happen with Loomis at the helm. I was hoping that Mrs. Benson had her eyes opened in the DA firing debacle and Loomis' reaction to see it's time to clean house.
