As of the latest information available:

Speculation and Interest: There has been significant speculation about Deion Sanders potentially coaching the New Orleans Saints. Various sources have linked Sanders with the Saints due to the team firing their head coach, Dennis Allen, and seeking a new leader. ESPN's Jeremy Fowler has noted that the Saints might be interested in hearing what Sanders has to say, suggesting they could reach out to him during their search for a new head coach.

Sanders' Stance: Deion Sanders has expressed that the only scenario in which he would consider leaving his current position at the University of Colorado for an NFL job is if he could coach both of his sons, Shedeur and Shilo Sanders. This condition adds a layer of complexity to any potential move to the NFL, as it would depend on where his sons end up, particularly Shedeur, who is projected to be a high draft pick.

Other Considerations:
Sanders has built a strong reputation at the college level, turning around the Colorado Buffaloes program. His success and charisma have made him a notable figure in coaching circles, leading to speculation about his next move.
However, his lack of direct NFL coaching experience might be a concern for some teams, although his playing career and understanding of the professional game could be seen as assets.
The Saints are looking for someone who can potentially bring a "splash" hiring, akin to what Sean Payton represented for them previously. Sanders' high profile fits this mold.

Final Decision: Given these points, while there's clear interest from the Saints and Sanders is being considered, the decision would hinge on several factors:
Sanders' willingness to leave college football for the NFL.
The alignment of his sons' NFL futures with the Saints or another team.
The Saints' evaluation of whether Sanders' coaching style, philosophy, and lack of NFL coaching experience align with their needs.

In summary, while there's a possibility, it's contingent on Sanders' personal conditions, team fit, and how the NFL coaching carousel plays out in relation to his sons. The situation is speculative, and no definitive commitment from either side has been publicly confirmed as of now.
I posted about Deon coaching the Saints a week or so ago..... New Attitude, and completely fitting for the Saints!!! PrimeTime gonna be da Coach of da New Orlean Saints.

but you followed the saints with Allen at the helm???/

It would be interesting to see how effective Deion could be in the NFL as a head coach.

With the right coordinators I can see him being very successful. At least for a few seasons.

Re: Head Coaching News and Rumors

We passed over AG for Dennis Allen. Why would he come here with the franchise in an even worse position?

It seems to me things are likely to play out this way:
Ben Johnson > Raiders
McCarthy > Bears
AG > Jets

Personally, I want Todd Monken.

Here's the updated list of Saints interviews as of 1/16

Saints

Aaron Glenn: Interview completed Jan. 10
Mike Vrabel: Pending (request not needed) Hired by Patriots on Jan. 12
Joe Brady: Requested
Mike Kafka: Interview completed Jan. 9
Anthony Weaver: Interview completed Jan. 8
Kellen Moore: Requested
David Shaw: Requested
Darren Rizzi: Interview scheduled for next week
Mike McCarthy: Scheduled for week of Jan. 20

I'm a little disappointed that Brian Flores' name isn't on that list.

What a shocker this would be.
I wouldn't be shocked.

Tom Brady involved. Owner wants it bad. Top 6 draft pick.

Re: Head Coaching News and Rumors

My coach wish list goes like this:

1. Todd Monken - experienced, innovative, wisdom + leadership (will at lest need a DC)
2a. Aaron Glenn - culture + defense (will need a strong OC)
2b. Joe Brady - innovative offensive mind (will need a strong DC)
4. Mike McCarthy - 10+ win teams, playoffs almost certainty
5. Someone else
