At that point I'm hoping someone offers them a deal to move down. But they probably take Sanders.

Overview
The ultimate "whatever, whenever" player in the 2025 draft with the size, athleticism and competitive spirit to make good on his intentions. Warren plays with swagger and “best player on the field” energy.

Strengths
- Big, athletic, tough and competitive.
- Carries a ton of alpha energy on the field.
- Does whatever is necessary to help his team win.
- Handled short-yardage runs with direct snaps and Wildcat looks.
- Impressive early quickness and speed variance in his routes.
- Hips are smooth getting in and out of his break points.
- Doesn’t need much workspace to make the catch.

Weaknesses
- Too easily contacted and redirected within the pattern.
- Logged reps where he would coast or run nonchalant routes

I'm beginning to think that taking a QB anywhere in this draft would be a big mistake. I heard today that more than one former draft "veteran" don't have any of this year's crop of QB's with a true first round grade. In fact, one reportedly said that Cam Ward, which he acknowledged as the best, would have been the 7th QB off the board in last year's draft. That would have put him one slot ahead of Rattler who was the 7th taken. So basically, Rattler may likely be rated as better than any QB not named Ward in this year's draft.

I say roll with what we have, and play out the season and look to address QB next year.

Maybe just tap someone late like Dillon Gabriel or Will Howard to upgrade our depth and compete with Haener (which isn't asking for a lot)

Gabriel is too small and he doesn't have the Brees anticipation, accuracy, timing, and IQ to make up for it. I'd say his ceiling is Russell Wilson, which I'd definitely take, but I don't see him reaching that. He's giving Desmond Ridder. The knock on Shedeur Sanders is that he threw a lot of passes short and behind the line of scrimmage. That's the Oregon offense in a nutshell. Bo Nix got picked in the top 15 because of that system. The difference between Gabriel and Sanders is Sanders is going to be accurate no matter the system. I think Gabriel's completion percentage is solely because of the system.

Will Howard had a dramatic jump in production in his 5th year. Like Gabriel, he entered a system that allows QB's to flourish. Jeremiah Smith, Carnell Tate, and Emeka Egbuka at WR. Egbuka is like a 1st-2nd round pick. Smith and Tate will be first rounders. Two running backs that will be drafted on day 2 in Quinshon Judkins and TreyVeon Henderson. Donovan Jackson at LT. I believe he's a one year wonder, but if he's there in the 4th or 5th round I wouldn't be mad at him replacing Haener on this roster.

If Loomis & co signs off on this kid in rd 1, he needs his head examined.

Shough’s injury history has red flags all over it.

He has been in school so long, he backed up Justin Herbert @ Oregon

Best two choices, IMHO. And they both can be had in the later rounds.

They won't draft the geriatric QB.
