Feels like a weird place to update your injury status.

I believe it was more context being given to his message rather than an injury update. He's right, however, about the impact social media is having on the world today.

Yet he's using social media for his new YT channel.

He could have done so many other things to handle this problem more appropriately, yet he didn't. When he moved himself and his entire family to Fresno in December literally at season's end, he knew exactly what he was doing. It's an utter embarrassment he was not even involved in the NOLA Superbowl events. Jaboo was, as was Brees, and many other Saints. For someone whom portended to be a possible preacher before taking the $ in the NFL, a man of God if you will, he sure is not comporting himself as such. He is as disingenuous as he appears to be, sadly.

Re: Derek Carr

Interesting.

This entire Carr thing has gone off the tracks. Just cut him on June 1st.

Saints front office needs to take the loss & move on. It’s time.

This was strategic move to manage public perception.

He's not "providing context", he's attempting to control the message.

And he's doing it in front of a cross to enhance his appeal.

Total. Fraud.

Stop defending a narcissist.

Derek Carr shares heartbreaking news of his wife’s miscarriage and calls out the media over injury reports

In a heartbreaking revelation, New Orleans Saints quarterback Derek Carr opened up about a deeply personal tragedy. While preparing for a doctor’s visit regarding his own shoulder injury, Carr had to rush his wife, Heather, to the emergency room after she suffered a miscarriage. The Carr family, already blessed with four children, now mourns the loss of a fifth.

Derek Carr’s heart-wrenching revelation has left many in the NFL community and beyond reeling with emotion. The Saints quarterback, in a raw moment of vulnerability, shared that while he had been scheduled to see a doctor for his own shoulder injury, the plans quickly changed. His wife, Heather, suffered a miscarriage, and they had to rush to the hospital immediately. This deeply personal revelation came with an emotional statement from Carr, who shared, "We don't just have four babies, we have five. One is in heaven. We'll get to meet the other one when we get to heaven." His openness about the situation has struck an emotional chord with many, especially given the intensity of the moment.

Since news of Derek Carr’s injury broke, he had not publicly addressed the situation until Sunday, April 27, when he spoke at a church service for Church LV.

“I really hate that I have to bring this up, but I feel like I need to,” Carr told the congregation. “Yes, I have a shoulder injury, regardless of what ESPN or some lady on a podcast may think. I have the MRI to back it up. The team is fully aware, and we’ve been in constant communication. Everything’s fine, we’re working through it, and we’ll keep moving forward. Is that okay? I’ve had to deal with people lying about me and spreading all sorts of things. I’m just asking, Lord, why do I have to keep dealing with this nonsense?”

Despite these challenges, Carr has shown immense strength, balancing his emotional grief with the physical demands of his football career. His faith and commitment to his family have been guiding forces through this tumultuous time. Although his own health is a concern, his focus on supporting Heather and their children speaks volumes about his character.

“The pessimist sees difficulty in every opportunity. The optimist sees the opportunity in every difficulty.” — Winston Churchill

Have to extend condolences on that. I know that feeling.
