Some people here are acting like Shough should have came out and threw 500 yards with 90 percent completion rate, 7 touchdowns, no picks and a perfect passer rating.

What evidence do you have of his great improvement?

The fact is that he is our best option at this time at left guard. Is he ideal? No. Neither are a quarter of the guards in the league right now. With a 32 team elite league like the NFL, human beings with the abilities to have the size, demeaner, athleticism, brains, and general talent to play the positions are rare. Couple that with the injury rates of recent years and the conscious decisions by the most elite of these athletes in college and high school to move to the defensive line where the potential money is better and the snap counts are fewer.

Any improvement by Penning can be seen as "great" in a position of critical need.

And if he is our best option we should watch the waiver wire very closely because that ain't saying much.

Look I’m not trying to be rude man, but you make excuses for everyone and everything.

You are a professional at it. It wouldn’t surprise me at all if you were a politician or a politician’s lawyer. Lol.

I 100% hope that Penning is a beast at guard. Is he? **** idk. He’s injured. And I’ve heard he’s been okay in camp. But good grief, until he proves it, he’s just Foskey with worse competition.

I'm over Haener. Re-watched the parts of the game where he plays and I would mind if we cut him today. He has no arm strength at all and its a big problem in his game.
