Anyway, we aren't getting Leinhart, and who freakin' cares! Give Aaron Brooks time, and he will burn any defense's ass. I'm all for change.....but the QB doesn't need to be changed. Take your blood pressure medicine boys, and deal with it. Brooks is here to stay. Just wait till some of these people see him throw more TDs than Interceptions before the end of the season. They'll sure enough be livid. |

RE: AWWWWW...Poor wittle SC
Say he does throw more td's then picks... who cares? Our record won't be better than .500 and we'll miss the playoffs for the 5th consecutive year with the same head coach and quarterback at the helm. Yet, you still don't think it's finally time for a change? If you think Brooks deserves to stay, then you obviously believe Haslett can get the job done also. 5 years... no playoffs... there are people that need to go. If you are one of the highest paid quarterbacks in the NFL, you need to perform like that for more than a couple of games out of the season.

.. guess waiting all these weeks for Brooks to have a good game and "rub it in our faces" took its toll.. oh well.. |

Someone who roots for their team, at all costs, is hardly a bandwagon jumper at all. Look up the definition. Would I root for them if Leinhart did somehow become our QB? You're damn right I would, because the Saints are my team. I'd root for them if Leinhart was our QB, or if Vinny Testaverde was our Qb. Now go ahead and wait for someone else to reply so you can jump right behind them with one of your cute little indirect posts towards me. I'd love to hear your explanation for your flawed "bandwagon" logic. |

So, now Tobias is a "so-called" Saints fan? That's really brilliant.
If you were a fan of the team, you would realize that it is time to move beyond AB. Happy trails. I hope every GM in the league watched last night so they can get em a taste of our fool's gold. And tobias, I'm not sure who you think the multiple ID is, but you can eliminate one by the fact that Gambler is familiar with the word "or". There is a genius on here who still uses "are" for that word. |

Excatly, sometimes the best thing for a team is to lose because losing brings about change. If we don't change, then we will stay exactly the same way. One good game doesn't mean that Brooks is that good every week and that he should stay. He is having an awful year, so one good game doesn't prove anything. The Rams aren't going to cut Bulger and start Fitzpatrick for the next five seasons because he had one good game against the Texans.

This whole post is a giant-sized dishonor. Even as I write this, I consider whether I SHOULD write it. Even with this doubt, I am of the belief that when someone sees something wrong and they have the ability to try and make it right, they then have the responsibility to make it right. Enough poetry...
It is simply astounding to me that because one fan disagrees with another about the team, this "SC" label is created. I happen to think pretty much as SW does on this matter. Not in all things do I agree with him, but I would call myself anti-Brooks. I would also call myself anti-Haslett, anti-Venturi, anti-Loomis, and anti-Benson, but I digress. Through the many years of Saints football I've watched, they have seldom been good. Over their lifetime, they do not have a winning record. Long before there were message boards, they stunk. Year after year, through one losing season after another, the fans have been here. People like SW, yasoon, TR, BandB, Halo, Joesam, and thousands of others have stood by the Saints no matter how bad it got. How many Mondays have I spent in what can only be called depression over the play of my team? How many Sundays have I howled at the T.V., blamed the referees, cursed our defense, offense, QB, RBs, coaching, you-name-it? Remember that year when the bag-heads became famous? I can think of no more harsh protest of our team than that. Sitting in the stands with my friends with a bag over my head, to show how much I wanted a change in my team. Why? Was I an "SC" because I wanted a change? Were those thousands of other people "SC"s? Do you know who filled the superdome every week in the years since? Those same people. How dare anyone ever come to this board and play that card. I've read these guys on B&G for years now, and I can see their passion for this team. It runs as deep as my own, as does that desperate desire to see our team win the superbowl. I don't care how much I disagree with someone's opionion about this team. Anyone who roots for this "storied" franchise has EARNED the right to be critical of this team - they have the scars to prove it. There are NO "SC"S FOR THE SAINTS, and it's an insult to all of us to bring that here. Just my opinion. |

Anyone who would EVER root against their own team, for ANY reason, is an SC.
Period. As for the bagheads...........nobody ever said that there is anything wrong with complaining when your team is doing poorly. Hey, at least the bagheads were at the game! And my gut feeling tells me they weren't rooting against their own team.. |
