Alright alright, i can't sit here and take this any longer. I am prolly the biggest Longhorn fan on this site. Family upon family of alumni, including myself, so this should mean a least a lil something. I hate USC, I hate Lienart, and I hate Bush. However, I think Lienart had a really good game, against prolly the nation's roughest defense. He didnt have a great first half, the guy got the crap knocked out of him many times, kept his composure and almost won the game for his team. He IS a great QB, and I beleive he will be a great QB in the NFL. NOW....as for my boy VY. He had an awesome game. The guy just brings something totally different to the table. Leinart was 29-40 for 365, with 1 TD and 1 INT, note that Leinart had a very average 1st half. He also took 3 sacks. Now, by all means, statistically, this is a very good game. Now lets view VY. He was 30-40 for 267 0TD's and 0 INT's. He took no sacks. This is where he brings the other element, the uncontrolled variable if u will.....19 rushs for 200 yds and 3 rushing TD's. Daaaaamn. So yer telling me he has a 75% completion percentage AND a 10.5 yd per rush on 19 rushes???? Cmon now guys. Both will be great quarterbacks, both with go top3 in draft, its just a matter as to who is a better fit for our team. And i have to say VY brings a lil something different. Makes it harder for teams to key in on our strong points. When u have receivers to make u play deep, a backfield who can run over pretty much any linebacker, AND a QB who can pass for alsmot 300 hundred yds and also shake down the defense for 200 yds rushing, yea.....I'll take that one.....
