this is a discussion within the Saints Community Forum; And about a statement about Young playing with far less talent than Leinart is non-sense IMO. USC along with Texas usually end up with the best recruiting classes every single year. Both programs produce tons of prospects for the NFL. ...

yes, he is far better this year than last. and not just by watching the rose bowl of 2006 all games in 2006. heisman candidate all year(that normally goes with top players in college) not just in the rose bowl. and if you find someone that is of comparable numbers as bush are white let me know. |

Papz, you are definitely right about the talent level at Texas being on par with USC's. If nothing else, Mack Brown is a tremendous recruiter year and year out. He continually brings in a top three class every year. I bet Perrilloux wishes he would have stayed with his committment to Texas now.

We really arent getting anywhere with this. I put it to you like this I would like for the Saints to draft Linehart. I think that he is more of a sure thing. Will I dbe disappointed with VY no. I think that he can possibly be great. They way I see it is that Linehart is defintely going to me a good QB maybe a great one. VY HAs a wider range than that I think that he will be anywhere from great to mediocre.
I like to play it safe. |

this franchise is in need of some excitement and leinert wont do that... he is a basic QB....id rather have young... while i dont think that young is as good a passer as leinert... i have seen a vast improvement in his passing ability and i beleive that he will continue to grow as a qb, much more then the "incomperable mike vick"..... |

Pak, the point was that Perrilloux would be heading into next season as the starter at Texas. He has no guarantees of even playing at LSU next year. Also, Texas won the national title, LSU won the peach bowl. Nuff said.
