who's opinion do i value more.....espn or the president of jason "needs to be cut" craft. hahaha

seriously though, if comparing what leinart and young did in the rose bowl one has to take into consideration the defenses they were both facing. leinart was against a tough defense and often successfully changed the play at the line. young played against a weak defense made 2 reads and then ran. young would be a great fit for the saints...if we change to an option offense.

the lb position is so deep in this draft. we will be able to get a solid starter at 34.

another option would be to package some picks and brooks together to move up into the late first round. not sure if anyone would go for it, but it could be an option.

With all the talent at all positions in this year's draft, I don't see Bobby Carpenter being gone before #34 (Hawk, Ryans, & Greenway would go before him). That said, he or say Abdul Hodge would be a great pick at #34 (one will be there).

or Sims, or Kai Parham (who had something like 110 tackles this season), or tons of other quality linebackers

Well there is no problem... trading down with the Raiders and let them have Leinart if Young is gone at 1. Gives us more picks which we badly need.

"I think Leinart will fill the stands...."

I'm not to concerend about filling the stands but more I want is to begin winning and making the playoffs, no matter who plays for the Saints if they win the stands will fill up quick..

Not too concerned about filling the stands? Wow. I hope more fans don't feel like this. We need to fill the stands no matter what next year, win or lose.
