Actually xan I'm in school in Winston-Salem, but I've lived in Dallas for nearly 12 years. So I do think that qualifies me to understand at least part of Payton's tenure with the BOys. He hasn't done crap, and his offense is boring.

Sherman is my choice. However, I can see Loomis being too insecure to hire someone who has coaching and GM knowledge/experience. He would likely want someone who he can control and who is new to the coaching ranks. That is why I am afraid Payton or Carthon will get the job. Nothing changes.

If you haven't been able to win a SB being in the league as long as Sherman has, I'll pass. I'd rather gamble with an unknown. I like Magini but I think it maybe Carhon that gets it.

So, a coach should win a Superbowl within his first 8 years? Man, how many "failures" are in the HOF? He was in a Superbowl with Green Bay as an assistant and as a head coach, in 6 seasons, had a 9 win, 2 10 win, and 2 12 win seasons. That is not too bad by me!

Why? Would you have even considered him for an interview before the Saints mentioned him?
