this is a discussion within the Saints Community Forum; Yeah, I also like the underdog comment. I like Cutler now more than Leinhart or Young, so trade down some, get Cutler, and with the 2 2nds get Jean Gilles and a OLB and Im happy...

Hmmm... Cutler a Dolphin...that would be nice. I am also a Dolphin fan but the Saints are my top priority and we need Cutler at the helm in NO. Period!

Time will tell, won't it. I also at least stated that I would eat my words if Leinart goes on to have a great first three years or career in the NFL for that fact. No need to resort to name calling. Until either proves anything at the next level we are dealing in hypotheticals. |

RE: A good read for Cutler fans.
Has anyone actually seen this guy play in a real game? I feel like Cutler fans are jumping on his bandwagon because some scouts were impressed with how this guy works and throws in practice. We all know what Leinart can do because soo many of his games are televised and he has shown that time after time he comes up big. I read all the articles about Cutler and they are impressive but none of these articles ever mention about experiences watching the guy play in a game. I have never seen the guy throw a pass in a competitive game so I'm not going to bash the guy but rather praise Leinart from what I have seen. Leinart is a great decision maker, makes all the throws, and wins time after time. Leinart sounds like the guy to me.

I'llbe happy with Cutler or Leinart at #2....I want NO to use that pick for what it should be used for a franchise player that embodies the future of the team...As long as AB is gone along with Bouman

Is it just coincidence that those pushing hardest for Cutler also want AB to stay? Grain of salt............................................................................................

Not knocking leinart but the team was exciting to watch as a QB he had time to find the open man, and there were alot of them. Great system at USC and he took advantage. I personally don't want to see NO go QB then center and have to wait to pick until Round 4. Too many Holes to fill. But if they go QB I hope they go with Cutler he's got more upside and has had less injury. |
