Here's my plan, which I've said in another post, but in case you didn't see it, here's what I'm feeling. Trade the #2 pick to the Jets. There should be somewhat of a frenzy among this section of the draft order because several teams really want a QB like Leinart. So, after this trade down acquiring a first rounder and a 2nd rounder, we select AJ Hawk with the first round pick, then Nick Mangold with our first 2nd rounder, and then another LB (HOward, Jackson, Hodge, etc) with the other 2nd round pick. I would like to take Brick because he is such a manchild, but I just don't think we can afford to neglect the LB position anymore like we've done for the past 10 years.

I'm definitely not for trading with the Broncos. Even though the idea of 2 first rounders sounds great on paper, the idea of not drafting one of the high profile draftees this year doesn't sit well with me. If we trade down, I would go no further than the 5th pick. With that, we'd still be able to get one of the big guys in the draft. I'd be perfectly fine with that.

OK, SO NOW THE DEBATE BEGINS

Come on take Brick grab one of the other LB's in the second(or two of them) I know Brees would like to see the bookend tackles of Jamaal and the Brick in front of him. I know I would if I were him. |

What is it with all the draft "experts" saying we should or will take M Williams? Am I the only person who thinks we are pretty set on DE's? I mean another would be great, but we have far more glaring needs. OL to protect Brees, and LB's to help the defense. |

Trade with Jets, get Brick in the first. Get two LB's in the 2nd, and sing Cory Raymer from Redskins. Line will be Brick, Jacox or Holland (did we resign him?), Raymer, Mayberry, and Brown..... Thats hella good. Dump Brooks somewhere for anything and just cut Gandy. The two LB's plus Fijuta and Fincher and Watson very good. We would need Will Allen too.... OMG I think we may have something

i like your scenario deuce...i think it would be the perfect draft for the saints...i also like the thought of 2 dayton boys playing on the saints...there would be many more saints fans here in ohio if we landed hawk and mangold.
