i don't have have any beef with deuce. he still has some gas left i think. could have a killah year, BUT the dollars committed does worry me. we've seen too many of'em get old n slow overnight ala eddie george. my thought was more if we could flip deuce for bush without any significant cost, just switch players. whodi, in a trade doesn't the tradee assume the contractual/cap obligations of the player? if so, someone might want him if we pay some of the obligation.

In a trade, the cap obligation falls 100% on us. So Deuce's bonus for the what, 5 year contract he signed last year would all accelerate to this year. Not a good idea IMO. We made him untradeable for 2-3 years the minute we gave him his deal. And no way I committ that kinda money to Deuce and Bush. Maybe we can look at Addai in the second or something if we get extra picks.

Thats a big Negative from me...keep Deuce, pick up Addai in the 2nd round, resign Antowain Smith, keep stecker for passing downs out of the backfield or just cut him...Addai is a better pass blocker than Stecker and after that 4o he ran at the combine I know he's faster...

Anyone remember if Addai has returned kicks or punts at LSU?

By the way I think they will end up cutting Beerman...I would be sorry to see him go, but really how fast is he going to be after the ACL?

I'm also out on the "trade Deuce" scenario.
