this is a discussion within the Saints Community Forum; I know a thread on this guy was started a while back but I just read an article on how desperate this guy is to leave Green Bay. What do you guys think? I think with that kind of motivation ...

Javon Walker

I know a thread on this guy was started a while back but I just read an article on how desperate this guy is to leave Green Bay. What do you guys think? I think with that kind of motivation to leave GB....the team that picks him will probably get a guy who is killin to prove he still has it as well as stick it to the Packers. Should we try?!?!?!?

I say yes.

Definitely. I said we should have tried last year before we gave Joe a new deal, and Javon wanted out. Here we are a year later, in almost the same situation, except we had given Joe a new contract. Get this guy. He will be the #1 to replace Joe, and Stall can stay a number two, and get better at that.

I saw on espn.com that this might be a draft day move. We get Walker & GB's # 5 pick for our #2.

I'm all for this....Adding a receiver with Javon Walker's ability (even after coming off of injury) is something that cannot be overlooked. He'd definitely be a more than capable replacement for Joe Horn who could be cut after this season if he doesn't stay healthy. Make the trade and sign Walker to a contract extension.

Imagine the possibilities.

I wouldn't mind doing this. We'd get a talented WR and still have a top 5 pick, but I think that Brick will be gone before then. I still wouldn't mind taking Hawk, but I would like to see Walker, the #5, and a 3rd rounder for our #2. But I doubt we make this trade.

My question is who are the packers after? D Brick? Mario? The most likely move would be up to 1 would think. Bush would fill there needs more with just a few extra picks thrown in. Plus it would help the offensive weapon they would be losing. I will be surprised to see walker traded.

I want Walker but I want D'Brick there for sure, having both of them would be huge.
A tear from my eye just thinking about it.
