We keep talking about Brick, Hawk, Leinart, Williams and Cutler, but i think regardless of who we take, the staff so far has shown enough for me to think we will address needs in the draft.
Meaning, if we take Brick, im sure well get a LB later as well as CB and certainly QB.
or if its Hawk, its OT, OG and so forth in every round after.

Of course we still are the saints and we have half the brain trust that brought us the last few years, so keep poking those voodoo dolls and salting the earth.
On espn insider, Pass-the-jelly was talking about how important the minicamps will be to the draft. I'm basically pleased with the moves we've made to this point. I'm not sure what I think about moving Jammal Brown to LT (once bitten twice shy I guess, the Turley experiment still stings).

The interesting news will be to see what happens after the minicamps. Maybe Payton will decide he can't win with a few more guys? The one thing I'm seeing from Payton which is the most encouraging is that he doesn't appear to be a a victim of his own ego. One of Haslett's big downfalls may have been a limitless belief that he could "coach up" players into quality starters. Payton seems to be looking for guys who can already play.

All that said, I'm still not sure what I think about the Gandy deal. He was expensive, but given the outlook on our offensive line, it might have been nice to move him inside and have veteran guards at any rate.
