this is a discussion within the Saints Community Forum; Mario is the last guy I want us to draft but I'm not as opposed to taking him as I was a couple weeks ago. Making Mario a lb makes no sense to me though, why wasted a top 5 ...

Mario is the last guy I want us to draft but I'm not as opposed to taking him as I was a couple weeks ago. Making Mario a lb makes no sense to me though, why wasted a top 5 pick on a guy and play him out of position? If we are going to draft Mario, rotate him at de with grant and smith or trade grant. I'm still favoring Hawk or Brick (I don't really care who), as long as we address the position not filled in the first round with our 2nd round pick.

thppppppppppppppppt
why would you take a player who might have the fastest first step since Peppers, who is definately stronger than Peppers, and more stout at the point of attack, and turn him into a linebacker??? That's crazy.

I say we go with Hawk!! We already have two quality DE's, and if Brown is already switching to Gandy's spot--we can draft in a later round for a tackle. We need a good LB!

While Super Mario would have the least immediate benefit of any of the players we would possibly take, this would hardly be an Alex Molden situation on our hands. By all accounts Williams is an absolute freak.
