Turley OWNS Super Bustio Willaims

this is a discussion within the Saints Community Forum; Funny to see. It's the first pre-season game, but "Super" Mario did nothing to change my mind about him having huge potential to be a huge bust....

Its been almost 4 months since the draft, and I still don't can't believe the Texans took him Number 1 overall.

I wouldn't mind having Turley back. He showed a little rust, but he did own the #1 pick all night long.

I almost feel bad for the guy, becuase he will never live up to the expectations of being the number 1 pick. However, I don't feel sorry for the Texans, but I am thankful of them..lol

you have to feel for the guy.... the pressure to justify his selection is immense.... mario over reggie.... almost as bad as sam bowie over jordan... i'm not sure even if he has 70+ tackles, 10+ sacks will he be received well in houston, considering they passed over hometown favorite vince young first and foremost and then declined to pick up the most electrifying college football player since, well, himself....

watching the game last night, i thought aloud about the fact that we have reggie bush... still all this time later, i cannot, to some degree, believe that reggie bush is a new orleans saint.... when he leaves in 6 yrs it will be a very sad day for the state of louisiana

well it will be ahdr for him to ever live up to the expectation. at the same time his biggest enemy is the fact that he wasn't as good as advertised. he has all these great physical stats but really isn't that great of a ball player. i never understand the nfl and this idea that you have to go after this idea of the best player instead of just guys that can play. from what i understand he really just didn't do anything last night at all. he's mike mamula.
