LB Mentallity
|
after this game you guys still think LB is more important than CB. then you are crazy. sure an upgrade at LB would be nice but we are way under the nfl player talent level at the CB. lets not even talk about depth. at least we have improved LB position this year. the CB have not even been addressed. maybe Scott will play at CB.

Hello....if we have LB's that can pressure the QB then our CB's will automatically look a lot better. You give any QB a good amount of time to throw....and they will make ANY def. backfield look like Swiss cheese. We get Edwards....plus what we have now....opposing QB's are definitely gonna feel some pressure which will lead to some hurried passing whicvh wil lead to.......you guys ain't stupid. Yes the LB department is of major importance. We didn't go 12-4 in '92 because of our offensive power. We had LB that were forcing terrible throws all year that year....which made our secondary look like gods.

One wont be successful without the other, thats just the way it is. We got improve one to help the other 2. But we gotta start somewhere, and I dont see any good CB's or DT's on the trade block, just Edwards. So if we acquire Edwards, the biggest impact he will have is helping out the Dline and CB's. Thats my thought.....

However,is is just me or does it look like the Saints are almost stockpiling linebackers for the day when they can go from a 4-3 to a 3-4? |

I say grab Buckner, a few corners-like D.Wynn, E.King, and rookie Smith, and one more LB
Then release Gleason, maybe Bellamy, Phillips, Craft, and some others |

There are just 5 linebackers left on the roster - Fujita, Fincher, Melton, Shanle and Simoneau. Cut were Bockwaldt, Kuale and Foreman, and on IR are Polley and James Allen. Do you think we are going to get DE now?
