Donnie Edwards soon to be a Saint? Ponder This.
Chargers linebacker Donnie Edwards returned to practice yesterday. Barring any setbacks, he likely will start Friday's exhibition finale at San Francisco. Edwards starting means that the deal with the Saints may get done soon since you can’t trade or cut hurt players. The trade may take place sooner since he doesn’t have to play in order to be traded, and the trade may take place before the Chargers final preseason game. The Saints may hold off on the deal if Peyton wants to see him play to evaluate him the same way we played Stallworth the other night.
It seems that the deal may include Bouman (high salary too expensive for 3rd string) since the Chargers recently dropped A.J. Feely, their primary backup. Don’t be surprised to see Bouman and a 4th for Edwards. Another option would be to keep Bouman and send the pick we just got from Phily so we end up with 2 LB for Stallworth. Either way, Loomis will look like a genius. ForEverFan |

according to adam s. on nfl total access, the stallworth trade was done to acquire edwards..
he was confident they would send the philly future pick, a 3rd or 4th, to san diego this week and get the deal done for edwards...................smitty |

We should send them Craft, Shanle, Simeneaux (cajun spelling), and a bucket of Popeyes for Quentin Jammer.

Jammer just signed a nice five year extention with them and he is the corner stone of their secondary so you can forget about him. they should of tradeed the Eagles for Hood instead of that sorry LB.

Gregg Rosenthal thinks DE is going to be dealt this weekend.
"Finally, the Chargers seem hell-bent on dealing IDP stud Donnie Edwards for reasons unknown to anyone but general manager A.J. Smith. He could be traded this weekend to the Saints." http://msn.foxsports.com/fantasy/story/5922802 |

I agree with Rsanders24, Hood would've been way better than Simmoneau
And trading all those players for this oldie, thats crap! |
