New Additions and some for the PS
A day after the 53-man roster was set and a total of 22 moves over two days were announced, the Saints picked up five players from other clubs off the waiver wire and signed four others to the practice squad.
WR Terrance Copper (6-0, 207, Dallas), DB Curtis Deloatch (6-2, 210, N.Y. Giants), DB DeJuan Groce (5-10, 192, St. Louis), DE Michael Haynes (6-4, 283, Chicago) and T Rob Petitte (6-6, 327 pounds, Dallas) were all assigned to the Saints after the club claimed them on Sunday. To make room for the five new players, the Saints terminated the veteran contracts of QB Todd Bouman and DE Tony Bryant, waived DB Anwar Phillips and T Ben Archibald and waived/injured WR Bethel Johnson. The Saints also filled half of their eight-man practice squad on Sunday as RB Jamaal Branch, LB E.J. Kuale, WR Chase Lyman and DT Brandon Villarreal were signed after they cleared waivers. The other half of the eight-man practice squad will be announced on Monday. http://www.neworleanssaints.com/news...articleid=2856 Bye, bye Bouman! It looks like we are becoming Cowboys EAST! |

Was Hass picked up by another club? I see Hilton was picked up by the Jets, but not too much else reporting.

Payton coached over there, and he knows the players
Omar Jacobs We got Grouce, good and Deloach Definite upgrade, Deloach has speed and that physicalness at CB for a frame of 6'2" Bryant for Haynes isn't bad Bouman for Jacobs, hell yeah Phillips for Deloach, oh yeah |

Why do you say we have Omar Jacobs? Or is that just wishful thinking?

Why do we need Copper though? I thought we had a glut of WR talent...

Cooper is a special teams player....I see Gleason on his way to the curb! Bellamy had not better be looking over his shoulder.

The rams must have tried to pull a quick one with the injuried/wavied tag on DB DeJuan Groce. if the hammie is good it is nice.
The Dallas group I will have to trust Payton. No warm fuzzies from the two. I like the DB Curtis Deloatch (6-2, 210, N.Y. Giants), steady and has gotten better each year piayed. need some input from NJSaints on him. hass was not p/u as of yet |
