Where does Haslett rank?
yeah, but look at what Parcells did in NY, and NE, and the other NY. In three seasons the teams got better every year. 3 years with the Giants - super bowl. 3 years with the Patties - super bowl. Not even three years with the Jets and they got back to the playoffs if I remember correctly. The important part is that his teams got better every year. They didn\'t fade down the stretch, they had locker room problems too (see Keyshawn Johnson or Phil Simms) and it didn\'t affect the teams\' performance.
And yes, Haslett has more talent. Consider - Mora had four pro-bowl caliber linebackers and usually another couple of very good down linemen. He had a a good runningback in Hilliard for a while, but no one else on the offense was ever really better than average. Currently, Brooks, Horn, Deuce, Lewis, and McAfee are all pro bowlers. Johnson, Glover, Ricky Williams, Roaf, and Knight have also been Pro Bowlers. Add in other above average talent like Pathon, Stallworth, Howard, Grant, Bentley, Turley... Yes, the talent level over the past three years has been consistently better than Mora ever had. |
