this is a discussion within the Saints Community Forum; Personnel wise, i think sticking with Brooks hurt him, but the decision to let La'Roi Glover leave ended up hurting them more than anything else. The money they invested in other players trying to replace him had to cost more ...

Personnel wise, i think sticking with Brooks hurt him, but the decision to let La'Roi Glover leave ended up hurting them more than anything else. The money they invested in other players trying to replace him had to cost more than it would have to keep him. Grady Jackson got bit money and he didnt work out...lets not talk about the 6th pick of the draft in 2003...the defense was never the same after he left.

There was something going on with Glover outside of Sundays. There was some division on the defense, in particular Glover having a problem with K. Mitchell (Keith or Kevin? The one from A&M).
