Keep in mind guys, once Stallworth hits the open market, the Saints will receive a 4th round pick from the Eagles. The only way the pick becomes a 3rd would be if the Eagles re-sign him before free agency opens. So the Eagles could still re-sign him after March 2nd and the Saints will still only get the 4th round pick.

If we were to get a 3rd rounder for Stallworth, would you be happy to spend it on getting Carr as a backup to Brees?

No because Carr cost around 12 million dollars for the next 2 seasons... that's overboard for a backup quarterback. Invest the pick in a veteran MLB, Edwards, or draft a younger player and develop him.

I was nearly certain Philly would sign him. I'm still not convinced they won't, but honestly I expected it would have happened by now. Maybe they got a little taste of his injury problem, looked back at his history with us and said, "no thanks".

Had Stallworth stayed healthy all year, Philly probably would have signed him. And i am sure they have offered him something but he is dying to get out on the open market and cash in...a team like San Fran with all that money and no WR's could throw him some big money...as could Minnesota, and so could New England. It wasnt stupid on the Saints part...i think if he hits the open market, he wont be back in philly...someone else is gonna throw the house at him and he is a me-first kind of guy and he is going to take it.
